The Kartboy Shifter is a direct swap for your factory shifter and delivers a driver-focused, crisp gear change experience. You’ll get up to 40% less shift throw and a 1-inch lower shift knob placement, with instant improvement in precision and ergonomics.

Built from CNC-machined, TIG-welded 4130 Chromoly steel, this upgrade delivers unmatched strength and long-term durability. Installation takes about 30 minutes with basic hand tools, making it an easy upgrade you can tackle in your garage.

Note: This will fit in the 2002-2007 Subaru WRX with the factory shifter assembly only. The easiest way to tell this is by pulling down your factory shift boot, and looking at the color of the lever. If it is a dark gray, then it is the stock assembly. If it is a gold zinc plated lever then you have the upgraded SPT/STI short shifter package.

If your car has the upgraded SPT/STI short shifter package you will need to purchase the 1998-2001 Impreza 2.5RS / 2002-2007 WRX w/ SPT/STI Shifter

Just got mine in last night

Got mine in, and have driven it quite a bit, and love it! It’s definitely sturdy! Didn’t take very long either. I did clean the cup out, and re grease everything! So definitely recommend that. Also do not forget to check what shifter you have befor you order!

Solid Shifter

Installed in 02 WRX, fit in perfectly fine and cleaned up how my shifter feels. The throw doesnt seem much shorter but still feels good.

Fit was terrible

Not sure if I was sent the wrong shifter for another year wrx but the shifter did not bolt in without shaving it down with an angle grinder. Once I did that it fit fine but it should just be a direct fit out of the box.
