The Stage 2 Power Package Includes the Accessport, Silver Top Mount Intercooler kit, Charge Pipe, High Flow Filter, Intake Tube and a COBB Badge for the 2022-2023 Subaru WRX 6MT or CVT.
The Accessport is the world's best selling, most flexible, and easiest to use ECU upgrade solution for your Subaru Ascent. Unlock power hidden within the vehicle by replacing conservative factory settings with more aggressive calibrations. Follow our staged upgrade path with pre-loaded Off The Shelf (OTS) maps or use custom mapping for any modification level. It's the last engine management solution you'll ever need.
Includes:
The full stage 2 kit has been a great upgrade for what was my Stock 2024 TR. Very noticeably improved torque, the turbo comes on strong like it should have from the factory. The flat foot shifting is amazing, just make sure you set it right. I have been running it about a month or so, no issues, just fun driving. I would definitely recommend this for anyone that wants an improved driving experience. It still has manners, but also a bit edgy when you push it.
TRBOLVR,
The COBB Stage 2 Power Package is a game changer, and we are so happy it brought the driving experience you were looking for. Flat foot shifting is a blast! Thank you for your 5 Stars!
Regards,
Turbo lights up to full boost much faster than I expected, maybe .5s when rolling in 2nd. Has small over run pops to make your passengers giggle too. Butt dyno tells me it feels like a low 13s car with an ok launch, barely a 12 if you risk breaking something. Install wise, the bolt heads for the new hood shroud just barely rub on my Cusco strut bar, so visible scratches across the bar. Intake pipe definitely loads best from the bottom of the car, so dropping the small panel below the fog light bezel gave me the access needed. Install the new air filter while the box is detatched, much easier that way.
Thank you for your 5 Star Review, Alec!
We are excited to hear how much you are enjoying the COBB Stage 2 Power Package. It sounds like the performance gains and installation process met your expectations. We are glad to be part of your build journey!
Regards,
I must of been extremely unlucky with the quality control!
AP cable, TMIC, 3 hose clamps! All came damaged or defective!
Throttle body port right side of the TMIC wasn't machined properly. Had too much metal for the bolt to pass through so I was forced to dremel the hole out so the bolt could pass freely.
Charge pipe also wouldn't seat properly unless I put a uncomfortable amount of weight on it and even still the retaining clip needed to be smacked into place with a mallet.
Access port cable came damaged (subimods customer service took care of this for me 💯%)
3 of the hose clamps came rusted and stripped so I was forced to improvise until the next day where I could pick more up at the local shop.
I was using a lift and was doing the job in a time crunch to get off the lift so I didn't have time to record or photograph until the next day as the install took me 12 hours and each part required fabrications of some kind.
The OTS tune this comes with in my opinion should NOT be used as a daily tune. It's choppy at best and extremely rough at worst. You'll get knocks all over and DAM will drop regardless of how you drive it or type of fuel you use.
This last part is important if you get this package do yourself a favor and get the Perrin turbo inlet pipe along with it. The VB WRX comes with a built in boost leak in the turbos housing unit and this pipe fixes that leak and alot of issues that come with it.
Overall the parts are okay, install was crappy, power gains are great, but the OTS tune is garbage. If you decide to use one of the OTS tunes I'd recommend the conservative map to just get you by until you can get a proper tune.
I just can't help but, feel a little disappointed with this and the anxiety I have about the parts/car lasting isn't sitting well with me either.
Overall I'm not unhappy as the end result still looks good. Just wish it went smoother.
Tom,
Thank you for your review. It sounds like you had quite a frustrating experience with the COBB Stage 2 Power Package for your 2022-2023 WRX, both in terms of product quality and the installation process. Dealing with damaged or defective parts can certainly throw a wrench into what should be a straightforward upgrade. It is commendable that you were able to improvise and overcome some of the challenges you faced during installation, but it is understandable that the overall experience left you feeling disappointed and anxious about the longevity of your car's performance. It is great to hear that Subimods' customer service was able to assist with the damaged access port cable. Your insights about the shortcomings of the OTS tune and the recommendation regarding the Perrin turbo inlet pipe are valuable for others considering this package. Despite the setbacks, it's good to hear that you're still satisfied with the end result in terms of the power gains and overall appearance. Hopefully, with some adjustments and additional tuning, you'll be able to fully enjoy the benefits of the upgrade without further issues. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out!
