DETAILS
Designed with the daily driver in mind, the Medallion Touring-S cat-back delivers a deep, throaty tone that stays refined with minimal cabin drone. Engineered for performance and longevity, it strikes the perfect balance between aggressive sound and everyday comfort.
Features:
With sound levels tested under 93 dB under load, this system produces a rich, deep exhaust note across the RPM range while maintaining proper exhaust efficiency. The straight-through muffler design enhances exhaust flow for improved performance, reduced weight, and an aggressive tone without sacrificing drivability.
Constructed from full SUS304 stainless steel with 1.5mm wall thickness, this exhaust is designed for strength and reduced resonation. Each unit is mandrel-bent to preserve diameter through bends, ensuring optimal flow, and hand TIG-welded with precision for unmatched durability.
The dual-wall, angle-cut tips not only enhance aesthetics but also improve flow. Laser-cut flanges provide strong, lasting connections, while the use of advanced Advantex packing material guarantees long-term performance and sound control far superior to fiberglass or composite alternatives.
I've been doing research on Cat Backs for my 2024 WRX for months and finally decided to purchase the Revel Medallion Touring-S. I'm trying to stay somewhat economical and stick with an OEM+ build. The Revel ticks both boxes. Let's start with price. I don't believe there's a Cat Back out there that can compete with this Revel at this price level. Next, shipping. I ordered it around 3PM on a Friday and it showed up at my door 48 hours later. I was blown away! To be honest, based on other reviews out there I was worried about packaging and damage. The box did have a hole in it and was a bit scrapped up. The protective material inside seemed to have no order to it. It just kind of sat up against the various sections of piping. I was happy there was no damage. If there was, I know Subimods would address it. In inspecting the welds and overall built quality, I'd say it's not top of line, nor did I expect it to be, but it is built very well. Installation was done by a reputable muffler shop, and I was told fitment was great. They were done in 30 minutes. One muffler however hung about 1/4 inch lower than the other. This was easily remedied using a hose clamp around the rubber hanger to force it up. Now the most important topic, sound. It provides pretty much what I expected and mostly wanted, OEM+. I'd say on a volume level, if the OEM exhaust on a 1-10 scale is a 1, the Revel notches it up to a 3. I'll admit, I would not mind another notch or 2 but then again, it's nice driving around town and not having something overly loud. The tone is what sets it apart more from OEM. The Revel has a much deeper tone to it and IMO sounds great. This exhaust is very tame with day-to-day driving. With the increase in volume and deeper tone, it has more of a presence than OEM without being obnoxious or unbearable in the cabin and adds to the overall pleasure of driving the car. If you get on the throttle and punch it above 4,000 RPM, it gives off a throatier sound and makes itself a bit more pronounced. Downshifts are nice. I have yet to hear any pops through some say it will. Not something I really care about anyway. Finally, looks. The upgrade from 3" to 3 1/2" tips is nice and I like it better than the 4" most aftermarkets kits come with. I think 4" looks to large on this car but that's just me but it did play into my purchasing decision. The stainless steel looks great and of course the larger piping, resonator and smaller mufflers are all pluses. My biggest reservation before ordering this was how low the mufflers seemed to hang and expose themselves when looking at the car from the rear. While this is somewhat true, I wouldn't say it's that bad but if I could change one thing, I would raise them up about another 1/4 inch or so. I may try this with the hose clamp trick or different rubber hangers in the future. Not only would this hide more of the mufflers but also bring the tips into the bumper cavity a little bit more. I'm being picky here now though. In short, I don't regret my decision at all. If you're looking for something just a bit loader and deeper toned than OEM, there are handful of good options out there but for the price this Revel Medallion is hard to beat.
Hello Michael,
Thank you for your 5 Star Review. It is excellent that the Revel Medallion Touring-S hit that perfect OEM+ balance for your 2024 WRX.
Regards,
As many have stated, the non-resonated mid-pipe on the stock catback left a lot of drone. After messing with some muffler options, I decided to get the Revel catback and add a resonator to the mix... and I am glad I did! Fitment was great, install was easy, and it looks awesome. The best part, though, is the sound. It's a deeper tone, relatively quiet on cold starts... but sounds awesome under load. Would totally recommend someone who wants a quieter exhaust on their VB WRX.
Hello,
Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that the Revel Touring-S Cat Back helped with the drone issue and that you're happy with the fit and installation. Thanks for recommending it to other WRX owners!
Regards,
Welds were spot on, installation was easy, and the sound is excellent. No drone at all. Quiet enough for daily driving and loud enough when I get on the gas.
imxkal,
Thank you for your 5 Star Review! The Revel Touring-S Cat Back sounds like a perfect match for your WRX. Clean welds, easy install, and a balanced tone — what more could you ask for?
Regards,
I got this exhaust based on some recommendations from WRX VB Reddit group as well as the Facebook owners club. IMO this is THE exhaust if you are going for increased depth/tone/rumble without too much gain in volume while driving. It’s also one of the few exhausts out there which reduces the low RPM drone/resonance of the stock system between 1-2K rpm. Nice clean welds and build quality. Very OEM+ look with the 3.5” tips if that’s what you are going for. Fitment A+ and easy to install with stock donut gasket. No additional hardware needed. Definitely recommend for the older age group or mature drivers.
There were some minor dings and cosmetic dents from shipping that SubiMods addressed for me. Shout out to Kaleb P, who provided excellent and timely customer service. You guys have a customer for life!

Fitment was not an issue. It came dented in both mufflers but the box had been beat up pretty bad by the time it got to me and function isn't compromised. Sound is pretty tame but nice deep tone when getting on it. Would recommend for the milder group
