Make sure to run your factory tow hook in to clean the threads first, as the aluminum will be destroyed if you try to run this into a corroded receiver or whatever you want to call it. I had to grind a notch into the end of my factory tow hook to make into a m16x1.25 tap, and then did the same to my brand new but now damaged Perrin hook shaft to remove the damaged portion of thread. After a bit of wire brushing, tap lubricant, patience, I got it cleaned up and properly installed.
So please, be careful and check/ clean your tow point threads BEFORE you try installing this gorgeous tow hook. It will save you lots of undue stress.
Also of note: I accidentally ordered the sedan hook, but it seems to be the same, despite a very slightly different part number. Maybe it’s length, but it fits great.
