Reduce drivetrain shudder under hard acceleration by installing a PERRIN Pitch Stop mount. The factory pitch stop mount is designed to control the pitching of the engine and transmission under light to normal acceleration. Subaru's with power and drivetrain upgrades will need PERRIN's more aggressive option.

Under hard acceleration, the drivetrain is being twisted front to back from front axle torque twist. To control this front to back twisting, Subaru created a pitch stop mount. The factory pitch stop is made of plastic with soft rubber bushings, allowing for a significant amount of movement under hard driving conditions, creating drivetrain slop & shudder.

The PERRIN Pitch Stop mount controls the movement of the drivetrain in both on and off throttle driving giving the driver a more positive feel and literally putting more power to the wheels by eliminating lost energy.

The PERRIN Pitch Stop Mounts body is machined from 6061 billet aluminum and features a combination of 90a and 70a durometer. The bushings are as stiff as possible without introducing excessive NVH. (noise vibration harshness)

Good quality

Easy to install. Great low cost upgrade, no issue, torque it to spec and you wont have any extra noise inside

Great product, noticeable improvement, easy install - 10/10 would recommend

TLDR: I would highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't love the MT shifter feel. Do this before you look at short throw shifters, shift stops, shifter bushings, etc. It'll fix some of the big issues, and maybe even some you hadn't considered.

It's pretty cheap, insanely easy to install and is a HUGE improvement over the stock pitch stop. I had 7.5k+ miles on the car before I installed this, have been driving manuals for like 20 years (including many Subarus - I learned to drive in a manual 1999 Forester), and I found it nearly impossible to do a smooth 1st to 2nd gear shift at low(ish) speed and low RPM (under 4Kish) in my 2022 WRX. It either had to be a REALLY slow, awkwardly deliberate shift, or there would be a sloppy/grindy feel trying to force it into 2nd gear. Never really an issue at higher RPM, but definitely a bummer driving slow in stop/go or just driving mellow around town with folks in the car. This completely eliminates that issue. It also eliminates the bouncy throttle feel I would sometimes get when driving over bumps right after taking off from a stop (where you feel like your foot is bouncing up and down off the throttle). It's not you - it's the stock pitch mount. I can't overstate how much of an improvement this is. If you're on the fence - just get it. I can't imagine anyone regretting it.
