I bought my CTEK MUS 4.3 long, long before I knew Subimods existed. I've owned many battery chargers (even refurbished the internals of a few) and this is the best battery maintainer that I have owned, and the second best charger that I've owned. I have been able to recover batteries with this that other chargers give up on.
The styling of the MUS 4.3 has changed a little in the 15-ish years I've owned it, but the Test & Charge model is the modern equivalent of mine. (Notice all the same light locations, with nearly identical labeling.)
Also, I recently went to the Audrain Automotive Museum in Newport, RI, and this was the model they used to maintain the batteries (one charger per battery, that is) of the $500K+ per-vehicle supercars they had on display. The photo with the dark wood background is taken in the museum, while the gray background photo is my own MUS 4.3 example.
The only downside to these is simply that they aren't going to charge a deeply drained battery quickly. Still, a lot of "safe and healthy-for-the-battery" chargers go with a ~2-amp charge, while this one does up to a 4.3-amp charge, so as far as "gentle" charges go, it's pretty fast. I have a different charger I use for faster charging.
My most recent use of this product was to maintain some batteries through the 2025/2026 Connecticut winter. Two of the three batteries are showing their age, but this got them through the winter reliably; I was never stranded in a parking lot!
If I decide to add another CTEK to my collection, I will more than likely purchase it from Subimods.
