Why You Want This

Many people experience a burning oil problem and blue smoke coming from their exhaust. This problem can worsen after installing a cat-back exhaust, J-pipe, or turbo-back exhaust system. The installation of these parts can cause a change in exhaust pressure that allows engine oil to escape out of the turbo seals, causing the burning oil smell and blue smoke. The PERRIN Turbo Sump Restrictor quickly eliminates this issue!

How the PERRIN Part Works

The PERRIN Turbo Sump Restrictor makes the turbo sump pump more effective at sucking oil out of the turbo sump. This in turn creates a slight vacuum on the turbo sump creating a proper balance of exhaust pressure and vacuum on the turbo seals, significantly reducing the amount of leaking around the turbo seals. This does not change the oil flow to the turbo or create any wear.

Must have if you install high flow cat / catless downpipe

I had a ton of white smoke coming out of the back of my car and thought I blew a headgasket. After installing the restrictor there is hardly anymore smoke. Also literally a 10 minute install. Maybe more if you do a better job than I did. Also I cant find many threads on this, If you have an AOS like me there is a 3rd nipple on the restrictor. You do not need an additional line unless you have the PERRIN AOS.
