This is a quality product. A+ craftsmanship and quality. Relatively easy install (although I had an issue with a couple of studs in the stock shifter assembly spinning when I was trying to loosen a set of nuts, which took a set of nice grip needle nose pliers to solve the problem, but that was an issue with the OE assembly, not the Boomba product). This performs as advertised. The shifts are shorter, and I'm absolutely satisfied and would recommend to anyone looking for a short shifter.
BUT! The main issue I was trying to address was the feel of the shifts, especially the 1-2 shift at lower speed/RPM. I tried a shift stop, which helped with some slop, but didn't improve my issue at all. I tried a shifter bushing, which helped crispen up the shifts a little, but didn't improve my issue at all. A few days before I received the short shifter, I installed the Perrin pitch stop mount, and the shifts immediately became AMAZING. This short shifter pairs wonderfully with the other drivetrain mods I mentioned, but if I could only pick one of them it would be the pitch stop mount, 100%. So keep that in mind if you're considering a short shifter to try to address any issues you have with the way the transmission feels. It will make your shifts shorter, but I can't say it'll address any of the other more deeply rooted transmission/shifter issues.
I've seen some people say that the slight offset of the shifter toward the driver side caused their wrist to rub against the parking brake going into 2nd gear, but living with this for a couple weeks now I'm perplexed at how that could happen. Unless I awkwardly try to force myself to shift by grabbing the shifter in some kind of wonky thumb-down position, there's nothing I can do to get my wrist to touch the brake without turning in the seat and pulling my arm toward the driver door. The driver-side offset does, however, make it much easier to shift into 5th gear from my natural seating position, which was a bit hard before, because I'm 6'3", and with my legs in a comfortable position on the pedals (without my knees being in my mouth), I had to lean forward a bit to shift into 5th.
