The Touring Edition Catback is for drivers who like their BOXER rumble to be deep, hearty, and full of crackles all without any interior drone at cruising speeds. A direct bolt-on, full 3” straight-through design with a resonated mid section and tailored mufflers in the rear, the Touring Edition acts as the sophisticated, drone-free member of the WRX exhaust suite. If you’re looking to liven up your commute while retaining civil in-cabin characteristics, this version is for you.
Thanks to the design and construction of 180 Technology® resonators, the internals will not break down and degrade over time causing tone change. Full-bodied rumble for life from the point of installation.
This configuration provides the best ratio of interior refinement and exterior rumble on the market.

I was initially going to get an axleback, but folks really stressed that a catback for just a few hundred more would be more beneficial and produce better performance and sound quality. The second I check subiemods there’s an AWE sale in my face. Fate? Damn straight! I knew I wanted muffled and resonated so this system fit the bill, and the diamond black tips, 🔥. So I ordered Wednesday just before noon and the package was on my steps by 2pm Friday! I installed it that afternoon in my driveway, 30° and misty. No prob, I’m in MA, we adapt. So I broke both flange bolts removing the OEM midpipe and had to run to Subaru 20min away to get new bolts and nuts, $19. Whatever, rust happens. Just plan on reusing them and the donut gasket, so if you think they might break, get them beforehand. So the rest of the install was a breeze. The unit comes off with just those 2 bolts and 5 hangers, so have WD-40 in hand for those. Toss that **** aside and start installing at the flange and work your way back. Snug all parts and adjust final fit then tighten and fire it up! The instructions are crystal clear and important to follow for perfect fit. Cold start is AMAZING and it just sounds absolutely sick. Clean and growly, no rasp or **** can sounds. Pops and crackles a little at the right rpms and just sings over 3500. Cruising around 2000 sounds awesome, really low grumbles. Absolutely zero drone. Less than OEM, which was appreciated. I saved around $400 with the sale but don’t be afraid to pay the $1800, well worth it. Subiemods is my go to, always fast shipping and customer service is there if you need it.

Just finished installing the AWE Touring Exhaust on my 24 Limited. It sound crazy, and no video does the system justice. If you think it sounds good in the videos, it sounds three times as good in person. Ive never installed an exhaust before, did it myself with supervision from someone who has and everything was pretty straight forward. Having a second set of hands to apply pressure to the exhaust sections while one person tightens everything together is a huge help.
The only issue I have is that the instructions specify that the clamps should be tightened to a *minimum* of 60lbs of torque. However, I would suggest AWE edit that wording to be *Maximum or EXACTLY* 60lbs of torque. I snapped one of the clamp bolts trying to get up to 70lbs of torque on one clamp thinking that the minimum of 60 meant I could go a little tighter and had to improvise a fix.
The system is incredible! It sounds aggressive, gives the VB the classic boxer tone as you accelerate, and puts a big smile on my face. 180 tech really works, no drone on the highway. Cant recommend enough.

Just installed this a couple weeks ago and for having it on for some time, I love it. Gets rid of that annoying drone around 1500rpm and overall makes the car sound better

Fitment was spot on, came packaged well, nice and quiet at idle with a deep note at full throttle. When driving at lower speeds it is pretty quiet unless you are dragging gear, so if you live in a quiet neighborhood it won’t piss off your neighbors
