DETAILS

Action Clutch multi-disc racing clutches are designed for high performance racers who push their vehicles to the limit. The 7.25in Twin Disc race kits feature two sintered metallic race discs, formulated in the USA, which offer superior heat capacity and a smoother engagement than any other disc on the market. It also comes with a Ventilated 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum clutch cover design to help reduce overall weight and improve throttle response which is paired with our high strength steel pressure and floater plate. This added clamping force won’t require twice the pedal pressure.

Action Clutch’s 7.25” Twin Disc race kits are designed to maximize performance under extreme conditions and are perfect for those looking for reliable power regardless of racing type. With added features like enhanced heat capacity and improved throttle response, these clutches will help you get off that starting line as quickly as possible and keep you running smoothly through the finish line.

At Action Clutch, every kit is quality checked by one of our experienced engineers (with over 60 years of collective experience) and signed off as safe before being released as a finished product. This gives you peace of mind knowing that your Action Clutch will perform consistently every time.

Which Action Clutch Kit is Right for You?

Choosing the right clutch comes down to how you drive and how much power you're putting down.

Stage 1 OEM+: The perfect OEM+ upgrade—feels like stock but handles more power. Great for daily drivers who want a smooth engagement with a performance boost. High levels of our copper blend friction mix for high heat resistance. 500 mile break in is necessary for optimal performance.

Stage 1 HD Street: Suited for vehicles with full bolt-ons and E85, with a 15% heavier pedal feel for a performance response while keeping things street-friendly. 500 mile break in is necessary for optimal performance.

Stage 2 Endurance: just cruising? Or driving a lot in traffic? This kit is designed for longevity and reliability. Our Bullet Proof-Kevlar friction disc is built to last. Perfect for daily drivers, basic bolt-on mods, and occasional spirited track driving. This kit lasts twice as long as an OEM depending on your drivability. 1000 mile break in is necessary for optimal performance.

Stage 3 Track-Tuned: Built for drivers who want serious performance. A sprung 6-puck disc with MIBA Ceramic friction buttons delivers quick engagement, has high-heat resistance levels, and maximum grip—ideal for aggressive street driving, weekend track days, and serious builds. 500 mile break in is necessary for optimal performance.

For high-horsepower builds, our Multi-Disc kits are the next level. These feature american made sintered metallic race discs, a lightweight 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum clutch cover, and high-strength steel alloy plates for fast shifts and extreme power handling. While unbeatable for racing, they’re not made for street use. Sprung options are available, incorporating our patented fully enclosed spring retainers for added durability.
All Action Clutch kits come with our Fully Enclosed Patented Ventilated Spring Retainers, designed for maximum reliability under any condition. No more worrying about springs popping out and wrecking your transmission or engine—just pure performance you can trust.
Each kit is engineered to meet OEM specs and upgraded to handle more power and match your driving style—proudly built right here in Los Angeles.

Full-Face vs. Pucked Clutch: Which One is Right for You?

The choice between a Full-Face disc and a Puck-Style clutch comes down to comfort vs. performance. A full-face disc is the smoothest and most street-friendly option. It engages like stock, lasts longer based on your driving style, and offers a consistent engagement feel—perfect for daily drivers and low-mild builds. A pucked clutch is for those who want that aggressive performance and don’t mind clutch chatter. It engages faster, holds more power, and is resistant to high heat, making it ideal for all types of racing and suitable for low/mild/high-torque builds. Want comfort and no chatter? Go full-face. Don’t mind clutch chatter and need an aggressive fast engagement? Go pucked. Action Clutch builds both, so you get exactly what fits your build.

What’s the Added Benefit of Action Clutch’s Fully Enclosed PATENT Spring Retainers?

Our Patented Fully Enclosed Ventilated Spring Retainers are an industry game-changer. All other clutches use open-style retainers, which has led to spring ejection under hard use—a catastrophic failure that will destroy your clutch and even damage your engine or transmission. Our fully enclosed patent design will eliminate this risk, keeping everything secure and performing flawlessly, even under extreme stress. Even if a spring ever fails, it stays contained—allowing you to finish the full lifespan of your clutch without a breakdown. This means better reliability, longevity, and peace of mind, whether you’re daily driving or pushing limits on the track.

What’s the Difference Between an OEHD and a Chromoly Lightweight Flywheel?

Flywheels impact how fast your engine revs and how your clutch engages. Here’s the breakdown: OE-HD Flywheel – Built from solid ductile iron, this heavy-duty upgrade retains the durability of an OEM flywheel while being slightly lighter—without causing gear rattle. Designed for smooth engagement and even surface contact, it’s the perfect choice for daily driving and street builds. Chromoly Lightweight Flywheel – Built for performance, this high-strength chromoly steel flywheel is lighter, which delivers faster revs, quicker throttle response, and better acceleration. Ideal for track cars, spirited driving, and high-power builds. Delivers slightly quicker engagement and has more drivetrain noise in daily use. If you want OEM-like smoothness and longevity, go OEHD. If you want faster engine response and performance gains, go Chromoly Lightweight. Action Clutch has both to fit your goals.
