DETAILS

ARP’s heat-treated 8740 chrome-moly wheel studs are a much-needed replacement for any car engaged in autocross, track, or drag racing. They have a tensile strength of 200,000 psi and are able to easily handle the tremendous acceleration shock loads (shear) and lateral forces (elongation) found in racing. The studs are sold in packs of 5 and are cadmium plated for extra durability. Nuts not included.

 An extended stud such as this is a necessity if you will be running a slip-on spacer of more than 5mm.

ARP Extended Wheel Studs

Quick delivery - great service and quality part to replace the stock Studs on the GR86. Improves strength over stock, I replaced the New ones after 6 months and already am seeing some corrosion so glad I did this early. ARP quality product and increase stud strenght and length if you want to add spacers as well.

I'll never understand why there aren't more written reviews on parts. Either way, If you have Time to kill and $150 this should definitely be one of the very first things you do after getting your car. this is something I didn't do for my 2019 sti. If you plan to be taking wheels on and off whether it be track purposes or you burn through tires. This should be high on the list, Because, inevitably one of the wheel studs will snap inside one of the lug nuts. At that point you'll be wishing you did. Compared to other modifications, This is pretty straight forward, with many videos being up on YouTube you can get it done in a couple hours. The hardest thing about the install is just getting all of the necessary bolts out in the first place, and there aren't too many. The most time consuming can be the axle nut and the bolts holding the knuckle to the hub. ARP always seems to make reliable hardware and this product is no different. Of course, with extended wheel studs, you'll need an open ended lug nut. I will be choosing whiteline's extended open ended lug nut because I wanted something that didn't have a lock. I chose this because the last thing I wanted was to have a stuck lug nut, Because knowing my luck that's what would happen. You may not need these now, but if you're ever feeling like treating the spaceship right this may be a step in the right direction.
