The Multi Layer Steel gaskets are impressive. The fire ring helps seal the up pipe which is prone to boost leaks. Often the exhaust manifold will see PSI greater than the intake side and so a leak free exhaust is essential for performance and mpg. Never had a problem with a GS gasket.
