improve steering responsiveness

you don't have to remove any covers but you have to get under the car driver side and make sure the wheels are off the ground so you can hand turn the universal joint. It won't close all the way so don't overtighten.

Works amazingly

Not the hard to install all needed to take the TMIC to get the space needed to install but not hard at all and it makes a world of difference the steering is so much more tighter 10/10 would recommend if your looking at not spending a lot on tightening up your car.
