SMY has taken what is offered in the market and tried to create a product that just more than prevents debris from messing up your intercooler fins. We wanted to create a product that protects your intercooler, makes your engine bay look more appealing, and lasts. Our intercooler cover not only looks amazing but it is not heavy or uses any of that cheap chicken wire mesh. The hexagon mesh installed on our product matches the theme.

Intercooler protection!

I have a new, 2025 LXT. At, just over, 7,000 miles, I noticed the intercooler fins were already becoming bent and damaged from bugs, rocks, debris. Ordered this SMY Intercooler Cover, straightened out the damaged fins, and installed it. Wow, it definitely changes the look of my engine bay... in a great way! Now I have a bit more peace of mind, knowing that I have some sort of protection over my intercooler!

Protect those fins

Bought this to give the OEM TMIC fins alittle protection since rocks love to fly directly into my hood scoop. Adds a cleaner look to the engine bay as well until i can get an aftermarket TMIC. Simple install and it's keeping the rocks out!

Sort of fits 2024 Outback Wilderness

The SMY description says it fits - Subimods says it doesnt. Subimods is correct. Took a chance on it and you can make it fit with a slight trim of the passenger bracket.

Everything looks correct when you set the mesh and surround on the intercooler. However, the passenger side bracket is too short toward the front and too long toward the back to fit within the edges of the intercooler. Drivers side fits perfect. I took an inch off the end of the passenger bracket facing toward the rear and made it work. Also, was not impressed with the 3m tape they had on the bracket. Changed that with some that I had at the house.

Quality is good. Looks very nice.

Would add that shipping was wonky. Took a long time to arrive and only after I had to reach out to get a status update.
