The pipe was no problem to install and it looks great. If you have an IAG AOS you’re gonna need to create a bracket to offset it a bit. Otherwise product looks and performs amazing.

So first off let me just state that this get 1 star because it almost ruined my car. On paper everything seems cool. It fits well. It lines up well with my ETS charge pipe. Install was going smooth. However SMY did not send me the coupler. The ETS couple did not fit. So I went to the auto parts store and got a 3 inch to 2.5 inch silicone couplers, used the SMY band clamps that it did come with and got installed.

Now I am not chalking what happened next to user error, because my install was perfect. I drove it around the block, low boost. Tightened the clamps some more and went to go back to full sending it. Getting on the freeway it survived 2nd gear at my normal 20psi that my car hits, its did not survive 3rd gear. The coupler popped at about 4000 rpm. Now this was a pretty dramatic experience for my engine. Not having the charge pipe connected to the intercooler, so I limped home, luckily not far, and commenced to removing this and going back to what I had before. The ECU was so confused and jacked up I had to reload my tune. Luckily everything is fine, and the car is running back to normal.

Update: SMY reached out to me and is getting me the parts I need to actually complete this installation with the correct parts. Good on them for making things right. Subimods also has great service and support. I appreciate that. Going to give this a second attempt when I get it!

Surprisingly rare that I do this kind of review, but it needs to be said.

The big problem at-hand is the fit when it comes to having an existing IAG AOS. This pipe will NOT fit around that particular AOS.

When I complained to SMY directly (not Subimods), they emailed me back directly to explain that it's IAG's fault, not their own and I would have to jerry-rig my own bracket to make it fit as shown in the very last photo on their site, which looks horrible. It's almost like it's a known problem they don't want to fix it and they're sick of the complaints.

Their site makes no indication or disclaimer that it won't fit with an IAG AOS on their site except for a small sentence at the very bottom of its product features. Big, bold and red would go a very long way.

Either way, I have an SMY Godzilla intake that's collecting dust and I can't return because it's also scratched from trying to fit it (buy the carbon fiber variation, they painted ones are awful).
