    Great for STI caliper swap

Swapped the big 6-piston fronts/2-piston rears on my VB WRX. These worked great. Originally bought some Goodridge ones meant for a 21 STI but they didn’t fit quite right. These were flawless.

    Dan,

Thank you for your 5 Star Review! We are happy to hear that the Rotora brake lines were a perfect fit for your STI caliper swap. We are glad we could provide a flawless solution for you. Happy driving!

    Buy Goodridge Instead

I'll keep it short. Short answer: Buy Goodridge Phantom SSL from NPR. $210 bucks, and will save you both short-run and long-run. Goodridge uses all OEM hardware--banjo, washers, etc. Very easy if you need to service the system. Rotora screws you.

    # Rotora uses it's own banjo bolt and crush washer, not the same as OEM. And, of course both Subimods and Rotora don't mention this at all, which screws you. If for some reason you replace your caliper, good luck with the banjo bolt and washer. See the fix below.

    # See the banjo on the left is Rotora; right is OEM. Also note that the Rotora banjo hole for fluid is smaller than OEM, causing a constriction in the system.
    # See the SS-hard connection. You can't inspect it. It looks like it's just crimped in, not doubled layered crimped.
    # The washer pics show the replacement crush washer I found: Dorman 66272 -- Autozone. It's only a little wider (Rotora is 2.4mm, Dorman is 3.11mm). ID is essentially the same.
    # The banjo and washer are important because I installed the R front, then realized the line isn't designed for my VB. It's kinked up, and can't fix by adjusting at the hard line point. The entire thing needs to come off. Thus, if Rotora doesn't sell the washers, which they don't, and this happens to you too, you will need the Dorman washers.
    # I don't trust these lines. Can't get a refund for the front because I installed them. However, I'm sending the rear back. Rotora can put them in their box of, Maybe it will fit parts.

    Rotora

The front left line was defective, it was leaking the next day. I had to have the original line reinstalled.

    Christian,

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you! That being said, I would like to get some more information about your situation.

As always, we at Subimods take our customer service very seriously and strive to ensure all customers are pleased with the products they receive. I have forwarded an email to you outside this review, so we can work towards a resolution!
