DETAILS

An oil catch can is essential for engine protection from elevated levels of crankcase blow-by oil that accumulate during aggressive driving. Excess oil saturated air circulating back into the air intake stream can lead to degraded performance by depositing oil on the inside of the induction system, intercooler, intake manifold, etc. Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, 2-step oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.

This kit contains two independent catch cans, each plumbed into different parts of the PCV system. The cans do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), and instead maintain the factory plumbing strategy. This closed-loop system routes clean filtered air back in through the engine promoting negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance. Furthermore, closed loop systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from being detected in the cabin.

Love the product, hate the directions

Love the product and it works great. The barb fittings a pain to get on but they’ll set if you lube them up plenty. The online directions aren’t good. If the company could go into more detail with the installation directions that would be very helpful. Product is a 5/5 stars all day. Directions get a 3/5 stars.

Amazing product

Directions are fantastic. Set aside 6+hrs install.(if you want it perfect) it takes some mechanical inclination. Extra PCV elec-conectrs require same step as instructed for first. Remove pins install and wrap IN connector. only place I found to relocate eng harness is pass side strut tower. It rested there not taught. Directions I couldn’t understand where they wanted it put(harness slack issues?) Will require routing body side of main engine connector behind mounting location of dual cans. So it sits on strut tower with slack. Again, will require some thinking outside the directions for complete installation. Ex.. when doing the reductions from the 5/8-1/2in. I’d say this takes a good level of skills but with enough time it can be done right in 6hrs no lift needed. Mount location Fitting is tight on my 2018 STI base but the product works phenomenally and quality is amazing. 1,500miles on it no CEL or issues with pipes coming loose. The barbed fittings the engineered are so good it’s almost impossible to remove them when installed so make sure you’re routed as you want them to be before pressing onto line fittings. Again follow instructions and use common sense you’ll be fine.(notice the color coded depictions of what engine you have for proper validity of instructions b4 starting) Opted for a catch can cause the idea of a 20lbs AOS and it recirculating that **** was not for me. Also DO NOT BUY A VENT TO ATMOSPHERE catch can for these cars it is NOT an option just cause it says it fits the car does not mean it’s for the EJ. Hope this helps cause there was no Info for me when I bought this but DAMN is it good. Also you’ll have extra pieces as this is for multiple platforms.

This catch can kit allows fresh air to circulate back through your intake system without any oil sludge! It is also recirculating and does not vent to the atmosphere which creates negative crankcase pressure, improving performance! Installation can definitely be time consuming as you said but is totally worth it. Thank you for adding pics as well!
