Trouble getting your J-Pipe installed because your turbo support doesn't line up? The PERRIN Turbo Support Brackets two-piece design with built-in adjustments allows for easier installation on both OEM and aftermarket J-Pipes.
After the OEM turbo support bracket is removed, the main bolt that holds it to the block will no longer line up, making it difficult to reinstall. Trying to force the bracket back on can cause unnecessary stress to the turbo components and cause additional damage to the block. The Perrin brack is a two-part design to allow for adjustability, better fitment, and easier installation.Due to how difficult it is to reinstall, many people choose not to put the OEM bracket back on after removing it. This can cause premature failure to headers. Avoid this issue by upgrading to the Perring turbo support bracket.
Save some time removing and installing your J-pipe with an upgraded bracket. The two-piece bracket design can save you hours. Not all aftermarket parts are created equal. Headers with different flange placements, J-pipes with different flange thicknesses, and aftermarket turbos can all make it more difficult to install the OEM bracket. The Perrin turbo support bracket's two-piece design is adjustable to accommodate these differences and allow for an easier installation.
Machined from 6061 aluminum, Perrin turbo support brackets are hard-anodized for superior surface durability and corrosion resistance.
This is great for anyone with a Jpipe. This replaces the factory bracket that sometimes doesn't align properly after you do the J pipe. This eliminates the one piece design in favor of a two pc design and this cleaner and easy to work with. I definitely recommend it to anyone doing a jpipe.
Craig,
Without a doubt the Perrin Turbo Support Bracket is a must anytime you remove your J Pipe whether its factory or aftermarket! This relives any pressure placed on the turbo bracket by giving you adjustment to mount the bracket easily rather than having to force the OEM bracket into place. Thank you for the 5 Stars!
Regards,
Leaves very little stud threads for turbo nuts and would not line up for bolt to fit block. Had to use the factory bracket.
J.,
I am sorry to hear that the Perrin Turbo Support Bracket didn't fit as expected on your 2015-2021 WRX. It sounds like you had difficulties with the fitment and alignment of the bracket. While aftermarket parts can sometimes have compatibility issues, it is important for products to fit properly and securely. If you encountered challenges with the installation, using the factory bracket as a solution was a reasonable approach.
