Why should you install a Shifter Stop?

Due to the slop of the internals in the transmission, there is an unacceptable amount of horizontal slop within the 1st- and 2nd- gear shift gates. What should be little to no movement ends up being nearly an inch of play! This makes for an unnatural placement of shift gates and a lost feeling of which gear you are in.

The PERRIN Shifter Stop removes this play, reducing the horizontal movement to 0.12 inches. This makes for a solid connection between the driver and transmission.

Details:

The PERRIN Shifter Stop is perfectly designed to bolt directly to the shifter. Being constructed from 6061-T6 Aluminum allows for countless downshifts from 3rd to 2nd gear without the worry of damaging the shifter stop or shifter.

Included with the shifter stop is hardware that helps to further reduce lateral assembly movement by closing up the gap that the OEM hardware allows.

MUST BUY!

Easy and cheap upgrade. A lot smoother to get into 1st and 2nd gear. Use floss to install washers so you won't drop them.

Great suggestion about using floss for the washer installation. It always happens when you drop them you can't find them again!

Easy to install and adjust. You can definitely tell the slack in the shifter is gone after install
