Changes gear Changes

Made the gates feel more tactile and noticeably stiffer. Be patient and let them break in. They will be stiff at first.

Great OEM+ improvement

This is a great addition to any stock car or modified. There is a slight improvement to the shifting feel, but I think you can tell its installed. The install was pretty easy - this is a good cheap mod that anyone can do!

Highly recommended. But beware it’s extremely notchy and heavy feeling until broken in

Sucks to remove the last big bolt. I did it on a lift with a pry bar to move the trans over enough to fit the Allen in the bolt. If you’re going to do it on the ground good luck lol.
After installing I started regretting installing because the shifts were extremely heavy and hard to shift in and out so I almost uninstalled and reinstalled the old detents. Required way more effort.
Nothing positive about it lol.
After driving for a few days everything is seeming to become lighter and more positive feeling, but still notchy.
The big bolt is a 16mm and the small one’s are a 14mm.
I used an extra long flex head ratcheting wrench to get the big bolt tight.
I’d give it 5 stars if shifts weren’t so notchy and if installing wasn’t such a PITA.

Small, but noticeable change

Rather simple installation. Be prepared with extra O-rings. The ones that come with the kit are a little too large and can easily get pinched during installation, causing them to break. I had to replace two of the O rings due to this issue. Also be ready for some oil to leak from the transmission when swapping out. Move quickly and you will only lose a few drops. The largest bolt (towards the rear of the car) was the most tricky to get out, but wasn’t too bad.

Once installed, the detents are much more noticeable and the transmission shifts with authority from gear to gear. If you like a more firm, positive shift feel, this modification is good. If you like a smooth easy shift, stay away.
