Use the o-ring from the oem oil cap (or order one) and install for correct orientation. Love the look for my subie.

Great piece.

I had it on my 2017 WRX for a couple weeks until it got totaled. I bought a 2018 STI. Just a warning. It will NOT fit on a STI. I'm sad about that.

It is unfortunate to hear that the cap did not fit on your 2018 STI after working well on your previous 2017 WRX. Perrin does state this will fit your new car.
