The PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace eliminates the flex at the firewall by bracing against the solid shock tower so you feel nothing but solid pedal feedback with every application of the brakes. Even slowing for a stop sign, the difference can immediately be felt after installation of the PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace.
The PERRIN Master Cylinder Brace is constructed of CNC Machined 6061 aluminum, and CNC formed Steel. This combination of different materials are used to add extra support compared to other systems. Making this from two CNC parts instead of a series of welded steel pieces, keeps the part extremely stiff as well as very light.
They constructed this part to bolt to three different surfaces around your shock tower. One surface runs parallel to the master cylinder, one perpendicular and another perpendicular but on a different plane. Triangulating the mounting points reduces flex even further than single plane designs.
The aluminum portion is anodized black with a bold PERRIN logo laser engraved into the upper surface. The steel section is wrinkled powder coated in your choice of three colors to match your other PERRIN parts. Perfectly combines an aesthetic improvement to your engine bay as well as better braking feel!
Well built part, lots of hardware to go with it. This install took longer than I thought. The fender bolt part is much easier if you jack the car up like they recommend, and turn the wheel to the right. You'll slide your hand right in for the washer and nut. I did reuse some of the oem flange nuts because it was easier to tighten them in the tight space with socket and ratcheting wrenches.
Thank you for your 5 Star Review, Kevin.
We are glad the brace is well-built and performing as intended. Your tips for installation are valuable and appreciated. Thank you for sharing!
Regards,
This part looks great and you can really feel the difference. It also serves as a great place to mount my aftermarket fuel pressure regulator.
*Disclaimer I have not yet repaired the crack spot welds in my firewall so that may be why it makes the pedal feels so much stiffer. This in no way should be a replacement for fixing the cracked spot welds in your firewall, but it certainly helps.

Thank you for the 5 Star Review! The Perrin Master Cylinder Brace was one of the first upgrades I made to my 14 WRX and i have to say it was one of the best ones I did! The difference is amazing and it helps prevent those firewall cracks you mentioned. It definitely is not a replacement for fixing your firewall if it is already cracked. It is absolutely recommended to fix the firewall as soon as you notice any cracking.
