DETAILS
The Perrin Low Profile Intake Return Nozzle is a precision-engineered upgrade designed specifically for the 2022-2026 Subaru WRX. This component replaces the factory intake return pipe with a compact, streamlined nozzle that reduces airflow restriction and turbulence. By optimizing the air path into the intake manifold, it enables the engine to breathe more efficiently, resulting in measurable horsepower gains without requiring extensive modifications. This part is ideal for Subaru enthusiasts seeking a straightforward bolt-on performance enhancement that complements both stock and modified WRX builds.
Perrin Performance focuses on airflow efficiency and durability with this intake upgrade. Crafted from red anodized aluminum and precision machined, the Low Profile Intake Return Nozzle offers a robust construction that resists corrosion and heat. Its design eliminates the bulky, elongated shape of the OEM component, promoting smoother air delivery and more consistent manifold pressure. This engineering approach ensures improved throttle response and power output while maintaining reliability for daily driving and spirited use.
For WRX owners, this intake return nozzle delivers real-world benefits by increasing horsepower by 8-10 WHP on stock setups and up to 15-20 WHP on vehicles producing 400+ WHP with supporting modifications. The compact design integrates seamlessly with the factory intake system, preserving ease of installation and long-term durability. Whether building a street car or a track-focused WRX, this upgrade is a practical step toward maximizing engine breathing efficiency and overall performance.

Pretty easy install, make sure to have an e5 socket for the stud removal. Other than that pretty straight forward. Getting on the butt dyno later. Oh for conversation purposes it does work for the outback wilderness. Take the time to clean your throttle body as well. Mine was cover after 32k miles.

Overall a very easy mod to install. Took me about 30-40 minutes to install. I noticed maybe a little better throttle response but its very slight. After looking at the OEM nozzle vs the Perrin return nozzle, it only makes sense that it wont disturb the air flow like the OEM nozzle and I'm sure once higher boost comes into play, you will notice an even bigger difference.

Installation was simple and took 30 minutes from start to finish. Only speciality tool needed would be the external torx socket for the stud removal, so make sure you have those before you begin.
I didn’t notice much with the butt-dyno, seems like the throttle response is improved slightly, but I look at this as more of a supporting mod rather than a huge power adder. This modification will pay dividends once I add additional upgrades and get a pro-tune.
Hello,
Thank you for the review. Glad to hear the installation was straightforward and that the intake return nozzle serves as a solid supporting modification for your future upgrades.
