The Perrin Intake Heat shield is designed to work with the suite of Perrin intakes for the 22+ WRX, this product will not work with other intakes! Constructed from 5052 aluminum and finished in a wrinkle black power coat this piece not only is a functional upgrade but will accent your engine bay nicely!

A must have

Installed in literally 2 minutes, and saw a noticeable decrease in intake manifold temps compared to without it.

The perrin heat shield fits perfectly, cut outs for wires ect are well done, and bolts in securely

Would recommend adding this if you're getting the Perrin intake

Great quality, easy install. I don't love the way it pairs up to the stock intake duct, and I don't love that it has an open top but my preferences aside, neither of those seem to affect the performance. I will say it gets a bit more heat soak than I'd like when idling, but it clears up really quickly once you start moving. Probably not the best in heavy traffic on a hot day, so maybe keep that in mind depending on where you live. Or just stay out of boost while your intake temp is too high. Definitely puts out more sounds than the stock airbox.
