DETAILS

The PERRIN Driveshaft Carrier Bushings replace the soft OEM rubber bushings that mount the driveshaft carrier bearing to the chassis. Upgrading your driveshaft support bushings ensures your driveshaft is held firmly in place at all times.

Enhance stability under hard acceleration by minimizing wheel hop and boosting traction through decreased driveshaft movement with the PERRIN Driveshaft Carrier Bushings. These bushings align the front and rear sections of the center driveshaft, correcting the OEM misalignment. Proper alignment minimizes wear on the driveshaft universal joints, resulting in smoother acceleration and enhanced performance.

The OEM bushings are made from soft rubber that will wear away over time causing unnecessary stress on the driveshafts universal joints. The PERRIN bushings are constructed from stainless steel that won’t break down, giving you a lifetime of performance. The PERRIN Driveshaft Carrier Bushings offer a solid connection between the driveshaft and the chassis, enhancing driver feel without introducing extra noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH).

Straightened driveshaft

First off, these are a massive pain to install. I used a vice grip n the top side and two flatheads in the bottom bushing. I gave up the first time when I was installing the Perrin lockdown bracket. I went back and tried again and finally got the old bushings off. It’s easier if you drop the j pipe. If I had to do it again, I would have used a vice grip on the top and bottom and twisted them apart. Regardless, these help you align the driveshaft which is kinked from the factory. This helps put the power down better and reduces driveshaft bouncing under hard shifts. The solid bushings help keep it all in place as well. Not a huge difference, but if you’re doing the driveshaft lockdown bracket, you may as well do this too. It’s cheap.
