The overlay sticks on the factory push to start button and should work on most Subaru models which have an indicator light and are 2015+ or newer!

Just looks like black plastic

Simply looks like black plastic unless it's held under a lamp and then you can kind of see a faint carbon fiber pattern. For sure does not look like the picture and is not different enough from the factory button to warrant the price.
