A while back i discovered my reservoir had a crack in it. OEM was 100+ and looked goofy anyways. Decided to try the mishimoto one out and install was easy. Made a bracket in under 5 minutes that bolted to the original oem holes. Worked out a hose route and was back in business! Looks really good in the engine bay. Even to AK shipping was 2 days through subimods are "2day" shipping up here is generally always 3-4. Gang at subimods know how to get it done!

Simple install and looks great with all the other Mishimoto components I have in my engine bay. I love how simple and clean it is you don’t even notice the tank unless you look at it.
Mikey,

Definitely should come with a fitted bracket for it to bolt to it but other than that I like it
Garrett,
We appreciate your positive review of the Mishimoto Universal Black Aluminum Power Steering Reservoir Tank! We are glad to hear you like it but apologize for the inconvenience of the mounting bracket. Being a universal part, there are multiple ways of mounting the tank. I installed this reservoir on my 2005 Subaru forester xt and it looks really nice and functions great. But before you install it don’t make the same mistake I made and not put thread lock on the threads because it will leak power steering fluid and allow air into your system. Other than that great product.
Colin,
Thank you for your positive review of the Mishimoto Universal Aluminum Power Steering Reservoir Tank! This aluminum tank is a great way to replace the OEM plastic tank and provides a cleaner look in your engine bay!

First review of any car items i bought online so here It goes: 2018 STI
When this piece first arrived, It looked good and sturdy. Had to do some modifications to make It work with the tubing. Got everything installed and ready to go. First start up drive, no initial noise when turning until after a few turns i started getting a really annoying whining noise when turning and accelerating. This device lets air in thru the **** holes on top as well as the main Cap itself!. I had to massively wrap the screws and cap with Teflon tape. Got this a little while ago and as of today (3/26/25) did my 3rd wrap on the cap to prevent liquid from escaping and air into the system.
John,
Thank you for your review. It sounds like your system is not completely bled. Typically you will need to go to an area and drive in a tight figure 8 a couple of times with the wheel lock to lock to completely bleed the system. It is typical to have a vented power steering cap or reservoir. Not having the system fully bled would also push fluid out of the reservoir. If you need further assistance or have any questions you can always reach out to the Subimods team.
