DETAILS
The Mishimoto WRX Front-Mount Intercooler Kit is engineered to help your FA20DIT achieve maximum horsepower and torque by delivering superior cooling efficiency. Featuring a massive 28" intercooler core, this system provides exceptional heat dissipation without the excessive pressure drop that can stress your turbo over time. Smooth cast end tanks—CFD-tested for optimal airflow—eliminate the turbulence often created by cut-and-weld designs, ensuring consistent, reliable performance on the street, at the track, or down the quarter-mile.
This kit includes four mandrel-bent aluminum pipes for unrestricted flow. The hot-side pipes measure 2.25" to maintain high air velocity and reduce lag, while the cold-side pipes expand from 2.5" to 2.75" to match the throttle body and maximize airflow. A CNC-machined turbo flange ensures a precise, leak-free connection.
For hassle-free installation, the kit includes an application-specific crash bar that supports the intercooler and mounts using factory points—no drilling, cutting, or bumper modification required. Every bracket, coupler, and clamp is included for a clean, complete setup, and the kit pairs perfectly with the Mishimoto Performance Air Intake for even greater cooling potential.
Tested on a 265 whp Stage 2 WRX, this intercooler delivered significant intake temperature reductions and has been flow tested to support over 600 whp.
