DETAILS
The IAG Air / Oil Separator (AOS) is a precision-engineered upgrade for your Subaru, designed to provide unmatched protection for 2015–2021 WRX and 2014–2018 Forester XT 2.0L FA engines. Developed through years of rigorous testing on both standard and competitive applications, the IAG AOS enhances crankcase ventilation and prevents oil from entering the intake, safeguarding your engine from premature wear, detonation, and performance loss.
At the heart of the design is a 1-liter cast aluminum swirl pot canister, featuring an intelligent baffle system that separates oil from PCV gases before safely returning it to the crankcase. Unlike traditional catch cans, the IAG AOS requires no routine draining—the oil gradually collects along the canister walls and drains back into the engine, while a proprietary heating system prevents condensation and sludge buildup.
The IAG AOS integrates seamlessly with the OEM PCV system, retaining intake manifold vacuum benefits while increasing capacity. In ethanol-fueled applications, it prevents oil dilution by capturing fuel vapors and reintroducing them for combustion. Lightweight yet durable, the aluminum housing reduces overall weight compared to previous designs, making it ideal for both street and track use.
Installation is simple with the included custom-length SAE Quick Connection lines, ensuring a secure, leak-free fit. Once installed, the IAG AOS delivers a polished, factory-like appearance that complements your Subaru’s engine bay.

Love the IAG AOS it’s a really good brand and quality and not just for looks but also helps the engine run better and smoother and install was a fun experience to be honest and shout out to Subimods team for packing the IAG AOS very well.
Hello,
Thank you for the review. Great to hear you are happy with the quality and performance, and we appreciate the feedback on the install experience and packaging.
Regards,
No issues installing and didn’t take long either!
Hello,
Thank you for your 5 star review! Thank you again for your support!
Regards,
Having had an IAG AOS in the past this is exactly what I needed coming from the V2 AOS. Decided to change due to engine failure just to make sure that none of the metal makes its way into the new engine. Shout out to Subimods for having them readily available.
Hello,
Appreciate the detailed feedback, Gio! The V3’s quick-connects are definitely a welcomed upgrade. We’re glad it gives you peace of mind after your engine rebuild—thanks for choosing Subimods!
Regards,
The IAG website has updated instructions and a very good video of installation of this AOS. That said, unless you’re familiar with the removal and installation of all the components (charge pipe, blow off valve, intercooler) expect it to take a while to get this installed (the video makes it look easy). Overall, worthwhile mod. My engine seems to run smoother than before.
Hi Jay, Thank you for sharing your experience!
AG’s updated install guide is definitely a great resource. Glad to hear your engine is running smoother after the install! We appreciate your 5 Star Review!
Regards,
Honestly Ngl, the install took me two days. Not easy when you have a FMIC, CAI, Front strut bar, aftermarket pitch mount, turbo inlet, and misc engine dress up. Directions are designed for a somewhat factory vehicle so there was a lot of head scratching and a lot of having to move things around and test fit and that repeated over and over. All an all, thing looks wicked, and somehow solved a slight unknown boost leak (hard pvc line to turbo inlet I think was the culprit). Ultimately, this is a must wether your vehicle is stock or modified, would recommend.
Hi there Kimo,
Thanks for taking the time to leave a 5 Star Review for the IAG Performance V3 Street Series Air / Oil Separator (AOS). We're happy to hear that you ultimately had a positive experience with the product and that it helped solve a boost leak issue. We understand that installation can be tricky, especially with a modified vehicle, but we're glad to hear that the end result looks great. Thanks for recommending the IAG AOS as a must-have for all vehicles. Happy driving!
Regards,
