Limited HKS Radiator Cap Review

I bought this radiator cap as a precaution, just in case the original one was getting close to being old. I’ve been using it for a while now and I think it’s safe to say that it works good. It fits on the OEM radiator like a glove.

If you look at two of the photos, I did a side by side comparison of the old and new cap (the one with the red bottom is the HKS one).

Adds a little bit of bling and does what it is supposed to

My 99 2.5rs came with an aftermarket alum radiator that had an odd cap. The radiator never seemed to utilize the coolant reservoir tank and I never thought much of it. I took the old cap off and found that there was little to resistance in the cap, as well as not having a spring on it to hold pressure adequately. Once installed, the system reaches stable temperature faster and reservoir tank is utilized as needed with the higher psi provided by the HKS cap.

Limited edition hks radiator cap. What's not to love. It's one of those things you always see when you open the hood. Makes me smile a bit when I do see it. Works great too. No pressure leaks and my car doesn't get too hot.
