Now we are bringing that same innovation and forward-thinking to our Subaru enthusiasts. Introducing the Lightweight Battery Mount Kit for the 08-14 and 15-21 Subaru WRX and STI.

Lightweight Batteries are an excellent and inexpensive way to remove weight from your Subaru, which has an OEM battery tipping the scales at 34lbs. The GrimmSpeed Subaru Lightweight Battery Kit shaves 19lbs from the front of your vehicle and is a simple, straight-forward install with no cutting/drilling required. The lightweight battery tray design features 3 mounting points that will securely hold the tray and the battery. If you race in SCCA AutoX you should have no problem passing tech with this setup!

    Reduction in weight and space done right

    I have a Braille lightweight battery and needed a mount that would securely hold it in place as I do motorsports. I think it does an amazing job blending in with the rest of the engine bay while giving me extra room to work around my aftermarket headlights and soon to install oil cooler. I did have to buy longer screws to install the 15 lb braille battery because as the description reads it was meant for an odyssey battery but I made it work. Have had no slippage issues after track sessions so I’m happy it stays in place.
