The GrimmSpeed Billet TMIC was developed using 3D scanning and CAD modeling of the 2022 WRX engine bay, ensuring perfect fitment without sacrificing any factory interfaces. The 19” x 7” x 4” bar-and-plate core provides a 63% increase in total volume and 209% more flow area than the stock intercooler, resulting in superior cooling efficiency and reduced pressure drop across the system. This allows your turbocharged engine to maintain cooler, denser intake air, reducing the risk of pre-detonation (‘knock’) while enabling consistent performance under aggressive driving conditions.
