Works perfectly fine

If you're looking for a way to mate a 3 inch downpipe flat flange to a 3 inch cat back donut flange then this is what you need. It may not be the intended use but it will still get you by until you find a more permanent solution that doesn't involve choking your exhaust down with a 2.5 inch flame
