EXEDY offers twin disc clutches for high-powered street, drag, road, and rally applications. This model has been developed for high powered street cars and race cars with up to approximately 600TQ @ FW. They feature ventilated, thick intermediate plates for improved life and spring damper discs to protect your transmission and drive line. “SD” counterparts and have approximately 20% higher power capacity.
All Hyper Multi-Plate Clutches include a lightweight chromoly steel flywheel and EXEDY’s signature purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. All feature T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance. Despite their high power capacity, many multi-plate clutches maintain light pedal effort, thanks to the patented clutch “cushion” function that provides a half-engagement zone.
EXEDY Lightweight Flywheels combine low weight, low inertia, and high thermal capacity, ideal for lightly to moderately tuned race cars, autocross, drag, rally, and street use. Made from forged chromoly steel, they reduce engine inertia for faster response and improved clutch cooling via airflow-optimized designs.
Ring gear teeth are fully integrated into the steel flywheel, eliminating the risk of separation found in aluminum flywheels. Lightweight solid replacements are also available for vehicles with OE dual-mass flywheels. EXEDY flywheels are SFI-approved and tested to 15,000–18,000 RPM to ensure reliability under extreme conditions.
