For high-powered applications, EXEDY offers twin and triple Multi-Plate clutches, engineered for serious street performance as well as drag, road, and rally racing. Twin-plate clutches are rated for approximately 500 ft/lbs of torque at the flywheel and come with either spring-damper discs or solid discs, depending on the application.

All Hyper Multi-Plate clutches feature a lightweight chromoly steel flywheel and EXEDY’s signature purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Available in both strap drive and lug drive configurations, they utilize T5001 cerametallic friction materials to provide extreme heat resistance under demanding conditions.

Despite their high power capability, most multi-plate clutches maintain light pedal effort, thanks to the patented clutch “cushion” function, which creates a half-engaged zone for smoother modulation and better drivability.
