Unfortunately, Subaru and Toyota decided to use practically the same design for the reverse light on the 2nd generation. It’s a bit of a dated design for a modern looking car. With the our Reverse Light Overlay, it truly blends into the bumper giving the rear end of the car a cohesive appearance while still remaining functional as you can see in the photo with the reverse lights on. Car in photo has LED reverse lights installed.

An aesthetic upgrade that can be useful as well.

Smoking out the reverse/4th brake light area helps the assembly blend into its black plastic surroundings, but it can be a useful update.

If you have aftermarket LED reverse lights and/or have installed a 4th brake light LED, you may find that the increased power can wash out the backup camera or be annoying to drivers behind you.

Having both light and dark smoke options allow you to fine-tune the brightness level - all while tastefully updating your car's appearance.

Easy, cost effective, seems durable

Let's you black out the reverse light. Exactly what was expected. It came folded and creased but I laid it out flat for a day with a book on it & it flattened out.

Was easy to install! I left the middle red exposed and cut the overlay to fit only the sides. (Exacto knife, measuring tape, and something to border your cut)
