Here, you are looking at the Driven Media Rear Bumper Side Marker Overlay for the 2022+ WRX!

OEM 2022+ WRXs come with rear sidemarkers that sticks out like a sore thumb against the matte black of the fenders. These overlays allow you to mask that reflector, getting rid of the eye sore, and giving the side profile of your car a much more clean and sleek appearance while still allowing the light to shine through so the reflectors work as intended.

These overlays are designed and cut in-house using high-quality vinyl to ensure proper fit and finish.

Color Options

  • Dark Smoke - Completely blacks out the reflector while still allowing light to shine through so the reflector works as intended.

  • Light Smoke - Gives the reflector more of a dark cherry red instead of a vibrant red appearance.

  • Dark Stealth - Similar to the Dark Smoke but has a matte finish to it to blend in more with the black plastic of the fender.

Installation Instructions: (Dry Application)

  • Note: The front of the overlays is indicated by the location of the “L” and “R” so make sure to pay attention to the orientation.

  • Prior to applying the overlay, make sure the surface is thoroughly cleaned and dry.

  • Carefully peel the overlay off of the backing and use the bottom edge of the headlight to line it up to cover the orange sidemarker. There is a line in the lens of the headlight that is approximately 1/4” away from the edge that you can use as a guide.

  • Once you have successfully positioned the overlay where you want it, use a vinyl squeegee or microfiber to remove any air bubbles.

  • We recommend allowing at least 48hrs before washing the car to allow for the adhesive to cure and avoid directly spraying them with a pressure washer.

  • The temperature needs to be a minimum of 65°F for proper application.

Looks awesome, simple installation

These reflector overlays make the car look way better, blending in with the dark gray plastic wheel arches. I did the wet install, very forgiving. The material is not your typical vinyl overlay, more of a mesh style so the reflectors can still reflect light at night.

Great Addition

Make sure to order the desired version correctly. I ordered the clear by mistake, subimods customer service took care of my mistake and they deserve a 5 star themselves. Great addition to my WRX and took longer to open the package than it did to install it. It is a sticker, which you would think comes off in the carwash, but it doesn’t!

So much better

They're way thinner than I expected, but do the job nonetheless. Very straight forward "installation". Clean the lens with water and a clean rag. Don't rub too hard or you'll scratch your lenses, same with the overlays. Once dry, peel off the overlay (sticker) and carefully place it over the lens. Some things to note though, these are very thin and WILL stretch if you're too rough with them. This will mess up your ability to get a smooth application. Go slow when sticking them. Start at one corner and slowly rub the sticker down as you apply them. If you pull them up too many times (to re-adjust) you'll get dirt/dust under them which is less than ideal, and you'll stretch them. Think of it like a cell phone screen protector. If you're not good at putting those on, you may want to let someone do it that is. The same principles apply.

Pro Tip: If you do need to pull up the overlay before it's completely down, but have short fingernails, use the corner of the waxy paper they came on. Saved me a couple times. Also, if they do stretch a little, use a credit card to gently push the overlay into the seam. Just BE CAREFUL as you can not only scratch the overlay, but also the cheap black plastic moulding of your car. Lastly, where the lettering is on the lens, just rub it with a soft towel and some gentle pressure. Then use your palm to create some friction and you can get the overlay to sink in. I imagine a heat gun might work as well... but I'd be worried that they'd quickly shrink if you did.
