Driven Media Hood Struts 2022-2024 BRZ / 2022-2024 GR86

It’s the 21st century and we’re still using hood props? Get rid of those outdated hood props and upgrade to the Driven Media Hood Struts. These will give you the modern day functionality you deserve and they’re super easy to install. It’s a simple bolt on installation with no modification necessary.

Why these cars didn’t come with these from the factory is beyond us! It’s such a simple modification that it’s a no brainer. Replacing the hood prop with these hood struts opens up the hood slightly higher and gives you more room to work in the engine bay without having to work around a hood prop.

Installation Instructions

• Remove the two 12mm nuts holding the hood to the hinge bracket.

• Place the designated hood strut bracket onto the studs and reinstall the nuts.

• Remove the 12mm bolt located on the bottom hinge bracket. Be careful not to drop this bolt into the fender.

• Slide the designated hood strut bracket in place and reinstall the bolt with the included washer, again, being careful not to drop it into the fender.

• Lube the pivot points with the supplied grease.

• Carefully press the hood strut onto the pivot points. The thicker section of the strut should be at the top.

• Do the same thing on both sides and you’re good to go!
