The Cusco 1.5-Way Type RS Limited Slip Differential (LSD) is engineered for serious competition and high-performance driving. Constructed with high-tension chrome-molybdenum steel housing and gears, it delivers exceptional strength and reliability under extreme conditions. Large oil windows improve lubrication flow, while Cusco’s proprietary groove-cut technology enhances clutch efficiency, promoting stability, smooth engagement, and long-lasting durability.
The 1.5-way Type RS utilizes coil springs positioned between the pressure rings to generate initial torque, providing full engagement during acceleration and partial engagement under deceleration. Unlike traditional cone plates, coil springs enable faster, smoother engagement and improved durability. This LSD is fully customizable, allowing adjustment of clutch pack order and spring tension to match the exact preferences of the driver.
Additionally, this unit can be converted to a 2-way LSD by rotating the center spline, enabling full engagement on both acceleration and deceleration. Ideal for track, drift, and high-performance street applications, the Cusco Type RS LSD delivers precision, control, and reliability for serious enthusiasts.
Spend good money and receive good parts. Use it in my rwd 2006 STI for drifting and it locks up like a champ when set up for 2 way. Really simple break in process and not as harsh as a welded diff for daily.
