DETAILS

This is Cusco's fine examples of a catch can system. This particular catch can has been designed to trap elements such as harmful oil contaminants or unburned gasoline from entering and causing buildup in your intake system. And when this happens, it can definitely affect the performance of your vehicle.

This kit will come with everything needed for the installation which includes hose, hardware, and brackets finished in Cusco's flagship blue finish. The catch can will come polished, and will come with a 0.6-liter capacity.

Note: This 15mm oil catch can is specific to the 06-07 STi. However, being a JDM part made for a JDM model car there are some slight issues. Late 2006 and all 2007 USDM (possibly other market) STi's have an airpump where Cusco says to mount this Catch Can. You will need to either remove the airpump and use block off plates or relocate the Catch Can elsewhere to use it.

could be better

I did not receive the brackets that are pictured at all, but I got one solid bracket instead. Instructions are in Japanese, have fun translating. Have even more fun figuring out the inlet and outlet since they're not labeled. (It's pretty big too, so plan a spot before buying). The only spot I could mount this on my 06STI would have been right next to/above the downpipe and turbo. So I got creative creating my own custom bracket and went with a totally different location. The singular clear hose they send with it feels cheap and just a terrible idea. Who wants to see that stained thing under their hood? I went to Oriely's and picked up two, 2ft pieces of black fuel hose to use instead. (if you find yourself looking for hoses try Oriely's first for fuel hose... J 30R7? Something like that. Every other place I tried didn't have oil-resistant hoses or have something big enough).
