Remark Muffled Axle Back w/ Polished Single Wall Stainless Tips 2022-2024 WRX

The exhaust overall sounds much better than stock, cold starts are louder but not brutal even at freezing temps early in the morning. While driving you can hear what your engine is doing much better even over moderate music volumes which is a nice improvement over stock. Not much drone in my experience and once warm idling at a stop light is still respectfully quiet, but when you get on it the exhaust really shines inside and out. Install was nice and easy, just follow their instructions, make sure to remove the V ring looking exhaust gasket from the midpipe before putting your new muffler and muffler gasket on. install took just under an hour and i would say you dont need much experience to do properly.

These mufflers are a straight through, perforated design (likek a glasspack), but I find them to actually be quieter than stock. Especially on cold starts, these are significantly quieter than stock; while cruising they are stock volume, and raspier than stock when you get on it

Used to have the remark r1 titanium and it droned a little too much. Got this axle back and threw the stock pipe on and it sounds great. Its not too loud but sounds good.

On my otherwise stock 23 WRX, these had way too much drone/resonance/boominess - whatever you want to call it. They would give you a headache in 10 minutes. The drone was throughout the whole rev range. My cheap fix was too insert an aluminum block off plate to the drivers side muffler. This in effect created a ghetto hemholz resonator out of the drivers side Y. After that, the exhaust sounded perfect... exactly what I was looking for. I'm told that you really need a resonated aftermarket midpipe as a long term fix, but that is $600 and my fix was $5.

So I purchased this axle back from Remark because I just wanted a LITTLE more sound than the oem mufflers. After installing, from the outside it sounded pretty good. Not too loud and not too quiet. But.....the biggest flaw is the drone......I DID NOT expect it to produce DOUBLE the amount of drone than it did from stock. It's extremely hard to get a feel for what the exhaust sounds like from inside the car due to the drone. And you WILL hear drone through out all rpm bands. I thought I'd be tolerable but man the drone is enough to produce a vibration you can feel in your seats. Unfortunately I wish there were more proper reviews on this remark axleback system because in my opinion this is a definite MUST AVOID AXLEBACK. Save your money and invest in something else.
