The FA24 engine in the 2022+ WRX now uses an electronically controlled factory diverter in place of the pneumatic bypass valve found on all previous turbo Subaru engines.
Factory electronic diverter valves have been around since 2006 (particularly on European engines), and on the surface, it sounds like an advancement in technology, but in reality, it’s a step backward in performance and reliability. Electronic diverters may react to throttle closures faster than a pneumatic valve, but longevity and boost sealing are issues because their valve mechanism is made entirely of molded plastic. Importantly though, the factory electronic valve cannot open and close progressively – it’s either open or shut, resulting in less than optimum throttle response and drivability.
The patented DV+ design has been proven since 2013, and is now available for the WRX. It solves ALL the shortcomings of the factory electronic diverter valve by replacing the plastic valve assembly with precision CNC machined metal components, and changes the operation method so it can open and close progressively whilst retaining electronic control.
The T9383 version of the DV+ valve is for the customer who wants the easiest installation with the possibility of reverting back to stock with ease where as the cheaper T9369 DV+ version is designed with cost savings in mind that require permanent modification to your stock diverter valve.
Features:
Not much I can say to it. So far it seems to divert the excess air just fine. No leaks I can see so far. Over all it’s working as advertised.
John,
We appreciate your 5 Star Review of the Go Fast bits DV+ Diverter Valve with Integrated Solenoid! It is great to hear it is performing as it should, and you are pleased with it! This is a perfect option, giving you the ability to easily return your car to stock with the added performance of an aftermarket diverter valve! Enjoy!
Regards,
Very great made piece. But cause feedback knock on my Cobb and random dam drops. Tuner told me to take it off! Problem solved with normal valve 🤷🏼
Jacob,
Thank you for your review of the GO Fast Bits DV+ Diverter Valve with Integrated Solenoid. I am sorry you are having difficulty with this mod. The COBB tune may not support this mod, and you may have to go custom depending on other modifications.
