DETAILS

Cobb has paired their revolutionary Double Adjustable Short Throw Shifter with both Front and Rear Shifter Bushings to bring you a package that is unmatched. Set the shifter throw and knob height to your personal preference and tighten up slop in the shifter assembly caused by the soft factory bushings.

The 2002-2007 WRX had a variety of shifter size options, please use the below guide to determine which stock shifter size you have!

If your shifter fork width is 1.155" (inches), you will need the Narrow Barrel Shifter
If your shifter fork width is 1.435" (inches), you will need the Wide Barrel Shifter, or the TALL Wide Barrel Shifter.

Really great kit

I’ve installed this kit a long time ago and I can say I’m extremely pleased with it. Definitely makes the ride more fun and I love the fact you’re able to adjust it to how you want. Well worth it.

Patience is Key

Just a PSA, removing the stock front bushing takes some time and creativity given the limited working space if you're not taking off various mounts that are in the way (Unless I went about it wrong). Once installed, you will probably have less skin on your knuckles, HOWEVER, the smile on your face and the feel of this kit is worth it. Little to no wobble at all with the new bushings. I'm anxious to get this thing on the road and test it thoroughly (WRX is currently in the air, more parts inbound).

KIT IS GREAT, BUT FRONT BUSHING NOT COMPATIBLE

The short shifter with this kit is great, love it. Easy to install and adjustability is awesome. Even though it comes with both front and rear shifter bushings, if you have a 5spd, the front shifter bushing included with kit will NOT work, and you will need to purchase the 5spd variant separately as the kit comes with the 6spd bushing which is different.
