They were a bit tough to install since they are metal and even with the lubricant provided it was difficult to get them into the gear shift piece. They certainly feel more stiff and provide a nicer feel when shifting, but the hard aluminum passes along a lot of noise/vibrations from the transmission and drive train, so you get a bit of a whirring sound and other noises when driving or coasting in gear. The noises are a bit loud and quite noticeable, and to me it's not worth the trade off. I'd stick with the Cobb bushings or something that's still rubber so this is less of an issue.
