The good the bad and the ugly

These products are very sturdy. The hose clamps however are not quite strong enough, so take the OEM hose clamps off and reuse them is my suggestion. There are video links that people off YouTube have made for installing assistance. Have the proper tools and don’t rush the process. The Cobb access port does not come with stage 2 tunes. So I have emailed Subiemods about how to get them. I didn’t notice a huge difference other than it feels like the manual transmission seems to pull longer. I have not been to a dyno to get a proper tune after install. The lower air intake tube I did from above and it was somewhat difficult but not discouraging. The intake tube was the longest part of install from above. If you do it from above keep the fan out while installing. The cowl for the upper is different with the molding. You will need to remove the cowl from under the hood to best fit this part. It took me a total of about and hour and a half to install in my driveway. These were the YouTube videos I used to help me install. Best of luck! I can’t wait to feel the difference as it claims 370hp with this stage 2. Yet to feel that difference

Cry once buy once

The cobb stage 2 does exactly as advertised for the VB WRX. Coming from a 400 crank horsepower mk7 golf R, this feels almost identical.

Everything was straightforward to install. The intake air pipe gave me a bit of trouble with fitment, but I installed it from the top of the engine bay rather than the bottom, so your mileage may vary.
The only other pain was installing the thrust tunnel. It's just a lot of tedious work, but there's no way around it.
The "bespoke" clip that holds the charge pipe to the turbo outlet was defective in my kit, but cobb was quick to rectify it.

Induction noise remained the same as stock (in my experience)

All around, happy with the purchase. 320-330 wheel horsepower for 2k is hard to beat, horsepower per dollar. Would recommend this kit, but I'd recommend having a few hours, a second set of hands, and a few beers.

Easy power add on

Installation couldn’t be much easier! The only real issue I encountered was the programming. Definitely tricky if you’re not computer savvy. Also, kept throwing a check engine light. Cobb has amazing costumer service, and you’re never waiting long to speak to someone that speaks English.
