DETAILS

Cobb has paired their revolutionary Double Adjustable Short Throw Shifter with both Front and Rear Shifter Bushings to bring you a package that is unmatched. Set the shifter throw and knob height to your personal preference and tighten up slop in the shifter assembly caused by the soft factory bushings.

The 2002-2007 WRX had a variety of shifter size options, please use the below guide to determine which stock shifter size you have!

If your shifter fork width is 1.155" (inches), you will need the Narrow Barrel Shifter
If your shifter fork width is 1.435" (inches), you will need the Wide Barrel Shifter, or the TALL Wide Barrel Shifter.

Great shifter

The stock shifter had a lot of play and I got tired of it so I purchased the Cobb STS. Once I got everything installed in under an hour, shifting was a BREEZE especially after putting on a 1.5lb shift ****. Highly recommend as a first purchase as it doesn’t need a tune of course!

100% worth getting

Absolutely love this short throw shifter. One thing to note, and it could be me missing it is that it doesn’t necessarily cut out the sloppiness in the shifting completely. It definitely helps with some slop. It didn’t take very long to put it on and it was a huge difference. It made the car feel more responsive to the shift. I linked a really good YouTube video to help with the instal.

Cobb short shifter

Installation was very easy, I accidentally ordered the wrong color **** but I’ve come to like it better. The shifts are smooth with the new bushings and about half as short. Great for banging gears!
