DETAILS

The COBB Subaru Pitch Stop Mount is constructed of CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with black anodizing. The COBB logo is laser engraved on the top and bottom of the mount. A 68A High Rebound bushing at the firewall and 85A bushing at the motor provide a more solid mount than stock without being too harsh for normal driving. Grooves in the bushing ensure grease stays where it needs to be and prevents creaking after extended use.

The mount will come with bushings pre-greased and installed into the mount, making installation a breeze!

Installation Instructions

Note: Subaru of America has issued a TSB for all 2015-2017 WRX and STI models manufactured up to June 6, 2016. This TSB encompasses a replacement pitch stop bracket as the factory one is prone to tearing and breaking free from the firewall. Inspect your mount for cracking and ensure the TSB is applied as needed prior to installing the COBB Pitch Mount otherwise it may impede your ability to have this warranty service performed.

The beefier pitch mount is a must have upgrade. Looks way better than stock. Definitely an improvement to the feel of the car.

Perfect fit

I already have 90A durometer transmission and engine mounts, so this was just the final perfect piece. I didn't notice any change in NVH, but doesn't mean it doesn't add to it. I also noticed a significant increase in how smooth shifting has been.

Reduced drivetrain movement

I installed this to help get rid of the movement in the drivetrain under heavy shifting and the 1st to second to third throws. The stock one is plastic and had rubber bushings that are way too compliant. This is a super easy part to install. Do it!

I was having an issue with what can be described as a shutter or surging when accelerating hard and shifting fast… hard to explain but it felt like a bouncing somewhere in the drivetrain; not wheel hop or boost surging, it felt like it was play in the drive line. I thought I’d give this part a try. It reduced the surging by about 30-40% with only adding I’d say 5% more NVH in certain situations (very minimal). I was pleasantly surprised that it actually improved things with almost no added noise, especially at the relatively low cost. Also the product is absolutely gorgeous… wish it was not hidden under the intercooler. Also super easy install!
