DETAILS

The COBB Intake Tube for your 2020+ Subaru Outback XT / Wilderness maximizes airflow potential while retaining the factory airbox. Since Subaru has chosen to integrate a hydrocarbon trap into the factory airbox it must remain as it is a federally mandated emissions component. This intake tube is designed to fit between the factory airbox and turbocharger inlet.

The 3" mandrel bent aluminum construction means that airflow is unrestricted as it is summoned from the airbox to turbocharger inlet. A wrinkle black powder coated finish both protects the tubing and provides a classy aesthetic. Black 5-ply silicone couplers are held in place with included clamps for a leak free installation.

Install was easy. Getting your air filter in and out is tighter now, but other than that I’m satisfied.

Somewhat easy install. gets a little tight if you did not put the filter in the box beforehand. for anyone asking if you get intake noises-you don't. you get a slightly smoother ride. i took off the "silencer" on the airbox and i can hear a little som something ;]

Perfect fit on my 2020 Ascent

Cobb did it again

Simple, well built, and great fitting part. Was able to install with car on the ground. It was a wilderness so there was extra ground clearance, but should be able to go on an xt with no problem. Install the boot on the air box first, that is the tightest connection, I also took the lid off like I was changing the filter, made it easy. Also if you orientate the lower clamp you can use long extension to tighten worm clamp from top, see pic. I forgot to take more pictures, was wanting to get it all buttoned up. But not much to see. Take your time getting everything lined up then tighten top clamp, turbo clamp, then second from top, then second from turbo. You'll be able to dial the fitment in and get everything seated well. Thanks again for having parts for all of my subaru platforms.
