The COBB Shift Plate for your 2015+ Subaru WRX is designed to reduce overall shift throw while maintaining an OEM-like feel. Two adjustment points allow for either 15% or 35% reductions in shift throw. Weighing in at 825g, the COBB Shift Plate maintains a moment of inertia comparable to the stock part which provides effortless gear changes. The slim design allows for the factory-installed splash guard and heat shields to remain installed for an OEM-level of protection.

Solid feel

The install was a bit of a pain to get to the pin and punch it out. Air hammer definitely made that a little easier. But the feel of the shifter afterwards is amazing. Pair this with a shift stop for first and second gear and a brass bushing for the linkage underneath and it feels fantastic. Weighted shift **** on the sti shifter.

Alot of Benefits

FIRST thing, this is THE ONLY shift plate that allows you to use the factory shift plate cover. That was a big plus for me. I live in the north east, this is my daily. The engineers at Subaru decided that it needed a cover , and I didn't want to throw it away and have it get all gunked up or damaged by corrosion. SECOND thing, with this plate you have an option for the amount of reduction. With other plates you have the one fixed percentage of throw. This allows you to "Dial" it in. It's a beautifully manufactured piece, and is exactly what they advertise. Five stars all the way for many more reasons. Thanks Subimods for getting out quickly as always!!

Big Difference!

A bit of a pain to install as you have to be under the vehicle to do so; but a good chance to also replace your transmission mount and crossmember bushings to something stiffer. After installing this shift plate and brass shift bushing the shift **** is much short, notchier and gets into gear smoother. Combined with the trans mount and crossmember bushings the car feels much more solid. Highly recommended!
