The AWE Catback exhaust offers perfect fitment, patented drone-canceling 180 Technology®, aggressive tip options, and a soundtrack that only AWE can deliver, all proudly engineered, designed, and manufactured in-house, in the USA. Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GR86.

The Touring Edition Catback is for drivers who like their BOXER rumble to be deep, hearty, and full of crackles all without any interior drone at cruising speeds. Comprised of 3” and 2.5” T304L stainless steel with a hefty wall thickness of .065”, the Touring Edition features a bullet-style resonator in the mid-pipe and a set of patented 180 Technology® resonators residing in the rear to decimate any drone-prone frequencies from the exhaust note while keeping the flow of power uninterrupted.

Thanks to the design and construction of 180 Technology® resonators, the internals will not break down and degrade over time causing tone change. Full-bodied rumble for life from the point of installation.

This configuration provides the best ratio of interior refinement and exterior rumble on the market.

    Great Tone and More Volume

    Installed this system a few weeks ago and was waiting to review until after the break-in period. Exhaust has great tone and isn’t obnoxiously loud with minimal drone so that me and my passengers can hold a conversation at freeway speeds without needing to yell. Getting on the throttle really opens it up and it is plenty loud while still retaining great tone. Some burbles and pops on downshifts with no other modifications as well. Black Diamond tips are beautiful and fill out the exhaust cutouts very well Install was very simple and intuitive, even for someone who hasn’t wrenched in a car before and was done in about 3 hours with hand tools and on jack stands.

    Certainly not a super quiet exhaust and might not be great for anyone seeking such. Cold starts can be pretty brutal for 15-30 seconds on the first start of the day so be kind to your neighbors if you have any.

    Overall, would highly recommend this system for anyone looking to get a bit more aggressive sound and more volume without sacrificing comfort on longer freeway drives.

    P.S. I rotated the tips slightly when installing so they flowed better with the body lines.

    Super easy install

    Really easy install everything fits perfect. This exhaust is the perfect balance in my option not crazy loud but you get that aggressiveness when you’re on the throttle, also get the pops when you downshift .
